Torquay’s Princess Gardens looks a little different at the minute, a 60m observation wheel has been erected. The 365 tonne wheel was completed in four days by eleven highly trained staff and has come straight from London’s Victoria Park.
It is open to the public from 10am to 10pm until 31st October.
The wheel will offer breath-taking views of the bay and on a clear day you can to see for miles. From the wheel you should be able to see over to Paignton and Brixham.
The ride will last approximately 12 minutes and passengers can hear commentary on Torbay’s history, events and attractions.
If you’re looking to take a trip on the wheel it can be found in Princess Gardens next to the Pavilion right on the seafront.
Torquay is roughly a 50 minute drive from Exmouth where you can stay at The Imperial Hotel, which is located in one the best places in town, right on the seafront. A short 2 minute walk and you will be on the beach!
